Family Room Makeover
If you have been to my house you know I love color. As you can tell, I didn't hold back at all with the color in this room. I was originally going to paint the walls white because I was sick of the green. I think for now I will keep it. When I'm in the room I actually like the green but looking at pictures I'm not as big a fan... The only other thing I want to do in this room is a big framed-in chalk board on the back wall.
Fun Idea for Barstools
I'm looking to buy some new barstools. I had my kitchen cabinets painted white a few weeks ago. My existing barstools are also white. I'm not in love with the white on white. So, now I'm looking for something that will be of more contrast....the problem is I don't want to spend too much. I love this look of these chairs with a different fabric for the back and the nail head trim.
I can't find any barstools in my budget with this same look. So, I'm thinking I need to get creative.... I found these bar stools that are on sale for $85 and this pretty fabric. I found the fabric through this fun blog. I don't think it would be too hard to add the fabric to the back with nail head trim...
Or
This one might be harder to reupholster the back. Actually, I don't know that I would dare try because the back is more complicated. It is so pretty though...

Stylish Train Table
I redecorated our upstairs family room. I didn't want to spend money on a new coffee table. Instead, I decided to revamp the train table we already had. I stenciled a piece of plywood and added gold drawer pulls. It looks pretty but is also functional. I'll just take the plywood off when the kids want to play with the train table.
Before
I bought the stencil from this cute etsy shop
