Give Thanks Banner- Tutorial

Supplies:
-Chipboard Pennants ( I bought these at Craft Warehouse) I used one large size and one small size for each letter.  You really could make these yourself if you want to save a little $$.
- letter stamps
- stamp pad
-card stock or scrapbook paper
-glue stick
- ribbon or jute to hang it up.
-sewing machine
-thread that matches the card stock.

I started by cutting out all the card stock by tracing the smaller pennant. I glued the white paper to the pennant. Then I distressed the sides and corners with the brown ink pad.

Then I used letter stamps and stamped away. To keep the letters looking clean after I put the ink on each stamp I made sure to wipe off any ink that got on the rest of the stamp. That kept it from leaving random marks on the paper. I learned that the hard way and had to redo a bunch of them because they just looked too messy.

Then I place the smaller pennant on top of the larger one and sewed them together with white thread.

I used jute but you could use ribbon. I ran it through the holes and then hung it up on the mantel. I used packing tape to attach it to the mantel.

I still need to add something to the blank pennant....

I've had my eye on this mirror for awhile now. I found it on a few different websites and it was a little more than I wanted to spend. I finally bought it a few days ago at Home Goods. It was hiding behind a bunch of others mirrors and was way cheaper than anywhere else I had seen it. Score!
